Ford Escape Mazda Tribute LPG Conversion
Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute.
System type: Vapour injection. No discernible difference in power between gas and petrol. Seamless change over. Indirectly controlled by the cars own computer so that there is no conflict and all features are retained (eg traction control).
Cylinder: Donut shaped (toroidal) cylinder of 53 litres useable capacity.
Location: In rear in lieu of spare tyre. We can fabricate an internal spare wheel stand but it takes up a lot of space in the rear. If one considers that more than half the drivers of cars nowadays would not change the spare if they had a flat tyre and given that we have products that can be pumped into the tyre when flat and seal the puncture and given that flat tyres are rare because the tyres are better, the need for a spare tyre is not as great as in the past. Most customers opt to leave it loose, we supply a ratchet strap to tie it down for when the vehicle is taken on a longer trip and having the spare is essential.
Controls: Various options on the dash
Filler: As with all our jobs, if it is possible to fit the LPG filler in with the petrol filler then that is where we locate the filler. On the Escape/ Tribute this is standard.

We are not tied into one particular brand and we are entirely motivated by self-interest; we arent compensated for the labour to replace parts under warranty. When we fit components we dont fit them for ease of replacement but for best performance and l ooks and then within the requirements of the standards.It is therefore in our interests as well as yours that we dont have to replace parts and so we make sure we fit the most reliable, long lived parts.
